Two people, including a 17-year-old lady, were killed in a horrific multi-car crash late Thursday night on I-75 in Broward County.
The teenage victim has been identified as Liza Angulo of Miramar, according to Florida Highway Patrol. Friends and family say the teenage had recently graduated from American Heritage High School and planned to attend college in the fall.
The school’s principal described the teenage as kind and caring, telling she was an honors student who mentored fellow students in lower grades.
“My heart goes out to her family as they process this unbearable tragedy,” Principal Elise Blum said in a statement. “My thoughts are also with the Class of two thousand fifteen as they learn of this shocking loss of their classmate and friend.”

Trouble counselors will be available Friday for students, Blum said.
The deadly crash happened just after 11:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes at Pines Boulevard. According to FHP, a tractor trailer that was carrying concrete wall sections pulled out of a construction zone and onto the southbound lanes of I-75.
A silver Mitsubishi crashed into the truck. The driver of that car, a 29-year-old man, was killed. A female passenger in his car had to be taken to Memorial East Hospital. Her condition is not known.

Then investigators say Angulo, driving her white BMW, also crashed into the truck which caused the concrete wall sections to fall on top of her, killing her.
Friends said Angulo had recently received the BMW as a graduation present.
Officials say a fourth vehicle, yet another tractor trailer, also struck the truck.

Investigators are calling the crash one of the worst they have ever seen.
It is not clear at this time whether the truck driver who pulled out into the median will face any charges.
The crash shut down traffic on I-75 south for much of the morning in the area of Pines Boulevard. All lanes have since reopened.
