Bozeman man killed in crash south of Ennis identified

A Bozeman man who died in a one-car crash twenty six miles south of Ennis Sunday morning has been identified as Joseph Cure, 32, according to Montana Highway Patrolman Jeff Sargent.

Also, a female passenger was taken by air ambulance to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital. Details on her condition are unavailable.

Traveling northbound on US Highway 287, the vehicle spun off the left side of the road and flipped several times. Cure died at the scene, Sargent said.

Madison County Sheriff Roger Thompson said the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head.

“The road conditions were less than ideal,” said Sargent.

He said the call came is from Madison County at Ten:25 a.m., and the crash occurred about Ten:15 a.m.

The condition of the injured passenger is unclear.
